Sounds like John Oliver roasted WWE pretty badly over their failure to treat wrestlers as employees, right on (Though they did leave out that WWE does pay for everyone's rehabs)

The Roman Reigns tribal-chief stuff and the feud with Jey Uso has been really good the last few months. It's about the only thing I regularly watch while fast-forwarding through SDL

Apparently sponsors might've wanted the Firefly Funhouse segments to be taken off the show, and then after this week's, I'm absolutely convinced they're trying to get it thrown off on purpose, because god damn how the fuck can you put that on a PG family show

Apparently the Saudis didn't pay Vince a lot of money, so Vince ordered the Saudi feed cut off and in retaliation the Saudis kicked talent off whatever plane they were using. If anyone chartered a flight out, they got out, everyone else had to wait for [however they ended up flying out]. Also WWE is apparently trying to cover it up and get any talent on video to say it was a mechanical issue. Also it apparently can go deep enough that if WWE knew the Saudis were going to stiff them on pay, there's a massive inside trading scam they can get fucked by.

I appreciate them freeing almost everyone I want freed (Killer Kross, Scarlet, Metalik/Dorada, Keith Lee) but god damn, there's not enough big promotions to hold everyone

Another pretty good Raw and a good build-up for Summerslam

He wasn't happy with the offensive T-Shirt that they're selling with his name on it and has been publicly calling out the WWE, Vince and Hunter over it. He trashed the WWE system and how they still employ Hogan, posted a video with him flipping the bird and saying "WWE doesn't care about black people" and called Jay Lethal an Uncle Tom (RoH even catching some bullets).

He's maybe one of the most important behind-the-scenes people of the modern era. I really wish the San Francisco territory taped their wrestling too, apparently Patterson and Ray Stevens were far and away the best tag team before the 1980s hit

I wish Raw was 1 hour, maybe two if there was no Smackdown. There's like 1 hour of decent to good stuff and then 2 hours of filling time on Raw. 2 segment matches that only need to be 1 segment, 1 segment of promo-time that only needs to be three minutes, etc etc. I dig the Seth Rollins stuff right now, I like the squash-match format when it's not going two segments. A fast-forward through a lot more than I want to just because it's too long.

Format = they'd have a Raw vs Smackdown match, and the winner got to select first for the round. Each round Consisted of 2 SDL picks and 3 Raw picks (Because Raw has a third hour, so they need a larger roster). Instead of doing what sports would do, picking the best players first, they instead seemed to save a number of higher tier stars so that most rounds would have someone interesting get picked. So you had a situation like Seth Rollins, despite being the Universal Champion and one of the top stars in the company, basically getting picked almost 30th overall because they had to save some big-time picks for Raw, which means people like Nattie, the Viking Raiders and Heavy Machinery got picked ahead of him on Smackdown.

Apparently UUDD is owned by WWE so that one's fine. I saw some talk about how it's mostly about using their WWE names while promoting outside things, but WWE is also claiming to own their real names too (which is technically illegal)

To be more specific, Bushiroad bought Stardom and it's still being run by the same people, separate from NJPW (and I think even a separate division of the company, the one that promotes Kickboxing or something), with their separate streaming platforms. They're going to try to build the brand up the same way they did NJPW, and likely use it to put on joint shows in the west because western fans demand women's divisions (RoH already had a working agreement with both NJPW and Stardom anyways). I think there's room for optimism. Though, Harold Meij and Minoru Suzuki are on their way out, so who knows if everything's hunky-dory in NJPW right now too

Last episode of this Taker docu is fantastic. The twists and turns, actually paying for Metallica (I think they used a cover/soundalike for Mania?), seeing Luke Gallows pulls his Konnan-in-the-nWo and sticking close to AJ in the background so he's going to show up in every shot of every important promo of these events even though he no longer works for them (the best part is he didn't smarten up Brother Karl so you barely ever see him 🤣 ). Great shit
