They're apparently being petty and going forward with a battery charge for it. Game 6 numbers came in. 15.9 million Canadians (I think we're around 35-36 million total population right now?) watched Game 6 at some point. 7.7 million ratings average. In comparison, the Super Bowl was 4.34 million ratings average. Apparently 82% of TVs in the GTA were tuned in for the game, more than anything else in history besides "the Olypmics" which I'm assuming is Winter Olympic Hockey.

Dat match fixing for a Game 7 (Raptors look totally gassed)

Awww shiii, the Kawhi trade even if he leaves now is 100% worth it

This Shaq/Dame Lillard rap battle is incredible

Ouch, but at least lost a close game and not a blowout

I legit came in here to say just that. Holy shit, that actually happened. In a strange twist, this year's Stanley Cup Finals had the highest rated game by Americans ever (Game 7, Boston's always strong and Missouri must be sneak strong for a long-suffering NHL city) and this year's NBA Finals were the highest ratings for Canadians ever (and I don't think the numbers are even in for game 6 yet). Game 5 had 2 million more viewers than the Super Bowl in Canada and was the highest rated thing watched in Canada this year, so presumably Game 6 should be close to that or maybe eclipse it. Game 6 also brought up to half of every Canadian having seen some part of the Finals

Splash Bros 3s are so deflating

Conspiracy theory going around that Kawhi held off signing to sabotage the Lakers, they'd miss out on viable #3 free agent additions to play with Lebron and AD while waiting for him to make his decision, confident that he'd join a super-team to win and also they're the Lakers. Also sounded like the Raptors entertained the idea of trading for Paul George and Westbrook to get him to stay but they didn't have enough to make it work.

Houston/GSW just got real

It'd be pretty significant for the Raptors as a franchise to pull off making the finals, especially since the Maple Leafs and the rest of the Canadian teams are out of the NHL playoffs. There's still smaller things to play for, I guess

TBH if I was assigned to guard Kevin Durant, I'd just wait for him to take a jumper and cross-body block his knees in the hopes that he blows out anything on the landing.

Oh shit I both love that Drake is an active participant in the series, and how much silly pettiness and memes have sprouted up around this playoff run.

Oh man, that Quadruple Overtime Denver/Portland game I like how Lillard wasn't given any space at half-court as regulation was winding down. No one's ever giving him that shot again

I'm wondering if Zion pulls an Eli Manning/Eric Lindros. Dude's probably already losing millions by not being in New York or LA Hoping for the Raptors as a Canadian (Kawhi King in the North memes plz) and sorta Portland as a Pacific Northwesterner, but Warriors vs Bucks sounds like a way more interesting series. That way the storyline will be maximum levels of juicy when three-time defending champs GSW meets the KD New York Knicks in next year's finals. (Also if you want, Ximo Pierto on youtube does 15 minute youtube videos showing every made basket except fouls so there's still a way to watch it)

Oh my fucking god, Kawhi (McCollum being p. clutch while Dame Killer's being covered too)

Was watching a "Why does hip-hop hate Drake so much?" youtube vid and they mentioned the Raptors winning and my reaction "Oh shit, that actually happened, didn't it?"

I saw Colin Cowherd actually put it pretty well on his youtube. KD always comes in second. Greg Oden got picked ahead of him in the draft, Westbrook got picked to be the guy ahead of him in OKC, the Warriors are always going to be Curry's team ahead of him, and for some reason the basketball media is really, really weird about legacy stuff (like you can't be an all-time great if you're not the marketing face of the franchise) so he comes in second there. Which I think is pretty stupid tbh. Win a million rings, get to the point where they can only compare the Warriors to the '50s/'60s Celtics, and then wear every ring to every media appearance ever following that, just so the media nerds have to push their glasses up harder to try to figure out ways to not call him an all-time great.

Badass, Raptors get a home win in the Finals (I still don't think they're going to beat Golden State)
-
One of the youtube still images for the game was Steph at the free-throw line with his mouthguard sticking out, but on first glance it looked like a joint and my reaction was "Yeah, that's about right."

Dat double OT monster dunk (Dat Giannis having a bad game)
