    Looks like it's Nintendo's turn.

They're late to the party because they're so used to not having third-party support that they forgot they even had Activision/Blizzard games on their hardware.

If this had a short checkpoint system like Uncharted, I'd consider it barely playable. One of the earliest (?) cover systems I remember seeing. Very clunk and blocky to play, I remember feeling the same way when trying it the first time around. Once you get into a rhythm and use save states, it can be fun when playing it as a pseudo puzzle game.

  3. I was cool with Platinum End until this episode, then all of a sudden

We have a convenient ally who can make us kooky superhero costumes too/a character who only exists as a convenience to the main characters and then Metropoliman goes to Zeon Gundam School and keeps his dead sister or whoever frozen on a wall like he was a Batman villain.

Also those spoilers sound horrifyingly bad :rotfl:

  4. I appreciate them freeing almost everyone I want freed (Killer Kross, Scarlet, Metalik/Dorada, Keith Lee) but god damn, there's not enough big promotions to hold everyone

Golded all Cups and Mirror Mode. This was like playing Mario 64 on 3D All-Stars last year, just slapped the nostalgia goggles right off my face. It's still okay but the track balance isn't great, snaking/rubber-banding CPUs are annoying as shit and some of the tracks on the higher CCs just throw bullshit at you. I missed the tracks being designed around powerslide boosting the same way newer Mario Karts are :sigh:

Last Level hurt my hands and the boss fights can be annoying, but same opinion as last time: fun to play, fun to 100%, interesting mechanics (you can't die, you just lose coins that you can use for completion percentage). I've played two, maybe three, but Wario Land games are historically underrated imo.

I played this back in the day but not extensively. Pretty easy, though I did die a few more times than I expected to (a few OHKO enemies, especially a fish in the water level). I like the scavenger hunt aspect of this game and how unlocking levels is based on it, I probably beat the game about 7 or 8 times unlocking them all. Like a solid 6/10 chill platformer.

  8. As I've understood it, Sinclair is a billion dollar TV company that uses Ring of Honor as cheap programming on a shoestring budget (Cornette has horror stories about this) to boost ratings averages in bad late-night timeslots that otherwise wouldn't draw much of anything. It sounded like they were spending some decent money on talent ever since the MSG show but once the Elite left, they never got their reputation back.

I'd guess that without a live crowd for 18 months and being set to lose a few more guys to their contracts running out (I think PCO wasn't re-signing, Rush got injured but he was probably gone as well), they probably just said fuck it and mean to sign cheap talent to put on anything in those spots.

But like, I'd also assume there's no way they let the Briscoes and Jay Lethal go too so who really knows.

  10. EMMI sections are a lot better once you realize that

they're pretty much built for you to never stop moving. You're still gonna get fucked up by one every once in awhile but they mostly mean for you to slide, jump and grapple around everything to avoid them

I used save states only at continue points up until the last two levels. On the second last, I used them to respawn with my leveled up Lena already at the beginning (they crank the bullshit up, so no point in going in less than leveled up), and in the last level I used it to respawn after the first boss (easy to beat without getting hit/no point in doing it over and over) and then eventually on the last boss in general, who's bullshit personified and you're mostly not going to beat it without everything going your way.

It was an okay game otherwise, nothing special as an action platformer and most of the annoying bits leading into the last two levels just require using the right special moves or learning the pattern.

Castlevania with bad hit detection and some unfair traps and moments. NSO library sure isn't impressive outside of the obvious choices.

I like Tetris Attack a lot more but this was okay too. I beat the Puzzle Mode and then Medium Story mode with every character to get some playtime out of it.

Congo's Caper was my first SNES game so this was a little nostalgic. I hate the hit detection but it's a short and sweet game. Never let go of the stone wheel.
