I popped in just in time for Dangerous Tekkers vs GoD. I'll have to go back and watch the NEW JAPAN RAMBO and the Hiromu vs ELP later Also I'm super impressed with that tag match because they made a Heel vs Heel match work.

Bought/Received: - 1 TB PS4 Hard Drive en route to replace the one that failed on me (it was nice enough to wait until I'd Platinum'd Horizon) - Nier Automata Game of the Yorha Edition: Tossing that on the backlog pile because I want to replay Nier Replicant first and that's not even out yet - Nioh Season Pass: Just because it was on sale and it's almost never on sale - Rise of the Tomb Raider: Loved the reboot, def want to play this eventually - Doom 64: Also mean to play the old-school Doom games eventually Playing: - :SNES: Mario Picross: Only have a few sets of puzzles left. Tired of the late-game puzzles so I'm gonna use FAQs from here on out to finish it off (it'll bother me if I don't complete it) - :nes: Fire Emblem - Shadow Dragon and the Sword of Light: Turn Rewind and Bookmark functionality makes this game playable (and I still managed to lose the opening 5 rounds of a new map because I re-loaded a bookmark and it was near the end of the previous map ) . In the DS version I did end up losing some units, gonna see if I can make it through this OG game without losing any - Genshin Impact: Or I was playing it before the PS4 exploded ;_; The new region expansion doesn't look like it added any new trophies, though. - Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride: Monster recruitment might be addictive

God of War (2018): Easy-moding because the combat doesn't feel as good as the OG games (it's probably the behind-the-shoulder camera angle tbh). I'm really surprised at how much the levels do feel like next-gen God of war, though, they're built so well and it's so fun trying to explore every little nook and cranny

Oh shiiiii didn't realize Season 5 was already going First 2 eps

Shingeki My Keki

Yeah, but it also leads to a situation with one night where you get a 6 hour show and go "Man, that should've been longer because half of these badass matches didn't get enough time"

Think I can add Dragon Quest - Dai's Great Adventure back to my list because it's continuing past episode 13

What out-of-season anime have you watched recently?
Vic Boss replied to Vic Boss's topic in Anime & Manga
What the fuck, when did Kimetsu no Yaiba become one of the best selling manga of all time and the movie become the highest grossing movie in Japan of all time? Or more what I mean to say: When the shit did this become that massively popular? The anime was dope (and those visuals were stunning) but I never got the sense this was the next Shonen Jump OU- SAMA (Also I guess I need to watch the movie because it's a sequel to the anime?) Finished The BOUNTO arc in Bleach. I'm actually kind of impressed with it. Almost 50ish eps of lower-than-series-standard-quality was probably horrifying to see live, but I thought the overall story structure was very Bleach-like, I liked the new doll characters, the bad guys had a cool power set and seemed like they would be something that's naturally part of the Bleach universe, some of the fights were cool (the Captains vs Bounto 1 vs 1 fights especially), and they even tried to fake character development, which I appreciated. The part at the beginning to introduce the dolls was pretty bad and I think the middle of the arc took a bit longer than it should've to get to SEIREITEI. Also in other Bleach news, I completely forgot the Vaizard existed at all. -
It's become a strange situation where New Japan has too many titles but also not enough titles to make every Wrestle Kingdom match feel more important

Hrmmm Jan 4 - New Japan Rumble as the dark match - Hiromu vs El Phantasmo. Hiromu won the BOSJ (held earlier in the month in Japan), ELP won the Super J-Cup (aired earlier in the month in America), winner gets IWGP Jr Champ Ishimori on Jan 5 - IWGP Heavy Tag ZSJ/Taichi (c) vs GoD. Tekkers have held down the division for most of the year (ZSJ got stranded and kind of just stayed in Japan). GoD won their first Tag League by screwing FinnJuice out of it - IWGP Us Title Briefcase KENTA (c) vs Kojima. KENTA won the right to challenge Moxley for the US Title from a tournament in America, but due to lockdowns and AEW, KENTA's now defended the challenge briefcase more times than Moxley's actually defended his title. He was supposed to face Juice but Juice busted his orbital bone earlier in the week so Koji stepped in to fight for Juice, and if he wins he wants his first defense to be against Juice - Tanahashi vs Great-O-Khan. O-Khan is a returning Tomoyuki Oka (who spent his excursion in the UK so you might be more familiar with O-Khan than I am) who joined Ospreay's Empire. Tanahashi's been having a really shit year, he's been losing quite a bit (including to people he really shouldn't) and declining pretty rapidly, I'm kind of wondering if he's going to retire sometime in the near future and go act in Japanese movies instead - Okada vs Ospreay. Ospreay turned on Okada and formed The Empire with O-Khan and Jeff Cobb. Okada's going for revenge (and in a really low-key position for it being WK, just a semi-main on Jan 4th and nothing on Jan 5th unless he's going for KOPW again) - Double Title Match, Naito (c) vs Ibushi (G1 Winner). They get to resume their "let's break each other's necks" rivalry. Jan 5 - I think Stardom is putting on one or two dark matches - King of Pro Wrestling 4-Way (Don't know who's in it, Yano won KOPW 2020) - IWGP Jr Tag Kanemaru/Desperado (c) vs MASTER WATO/Taguchi. Wato was feuding with Kanemaru and I think he beat one of the Suzuki-gun guys in the BOSJ. He's had a really awkward time since returning from excursion - NEVER Shingo vs Jeff Cobb, Cobb trying to bring gold home for The Empire - Sanada vs EVIL, revenge match for EVIL turning on LIJ - IWGP Jr Title Ishimori (c) vs whichever of Hiromu/ELP win their match - IWGP Double Champion vs Briefcase Holder: Whoever wins out of Naito/Ibushi vs Jay White. Jay cheated to win the G1 briefcase off of Ibushi (first time someone's lost it) and then decided he'd take the last match on Jan 5. The storyline seems more set for Ibushi to finally win the big one by overcoming his rival and the guy who tried to fuck him out of his main event match, but Naito's also had problems with the Bullet Club this year The NEVER Six-Mans (Goto, Ishii and Yoshi-Hashi) are MIA, I assume they'll be on New Year Dash on the 6th

I meant to join a hockey pool to try to get back into the swing of things but still haven't gotten around to it Canucks probably not making the playoffs this year but we've got kids with potential at every position, so here's hoping we start to see something percolating I guess there's a new rule in the league this year that if a player's helmet comes off, they have to either abandon the play and go put it back on immediately or get back to the bench. Cost the Oilers a goal against the Canucks (Edmonton won anyways so it didn't matter) but I already see something bad happening because of it.

I think this is a 7.5/10 game, in that once in awhile it plays like an 8+ and most of the time it's down around a 6. The characters and plot were pretty so-so, very stock and Mary Sue, but the background story and how that unfolds is really good and the attention to detail in the costumes and culture was fantastic. The game is fun to play, I think I hit 90ish hours and it didn't feel like I'd played that much, and I generally liked open-world complete-a-thons and this was no different from those. I think this game even for its time made some open-world rookie mistakes that not even just the previous generation of games solved, but the previous generation of Sony first-party games mostly solved. Mass Effect 1 style inventory system (don't know what you need so you keep as much as you can, but you can't carry one of everything, and it also doesn't tell you what you don't need anymore because you might need it again because you can't carry everything ) instead of something better, an emphasis on stealth but unless you're fighting the super-easy enemies, it's mostly useless because you can't do enough damage before tipping off the enemy group or herd, Melee combat is bad and only lightly upgradeable with the expansion, Uncharted-style climbing and pathfindig in a game where Infamous/Assassins Creed style climbing would suit it more (tbh I really noticed it just coming off of Genshin, which lets you climb anything, and then there's this, where you might not even be able to a clear a ridge that Aloy is taller than). I played it on the Normal difficulty because I did want to 100% the list and that meant an Ultra-Hard playthrough, but it probably would've been a funner game to play on the easiest difficulty. Taking away the things that annoyed me about the game, Frozen Wilds is a 10/10 expansion. "Oh, you really liked our video game. Here's new mechanics, some minor fixes to the system, and a big area of more of this video game to do something in." Couldn't really ask for more. Sony has a pretty great expansion pipeline from the looks and sounds of things. Kind of like the first Last of Us game, I'm not as enthused to play the upcoming sequel as I probably would've been just based on hype and reputation before, but we'll see.

There's reports that Vince freaked out that a bunch of the current big guys don't know how to wrestle to his liking so they were sent back to the performance center for more developmental classes. One of those guys is reportedly Keith Lee. We needa dust off the "Please Retire" chant and bombard Vince with it 24/7
