  1. Yesterday Arizona started allowing anyone 16 and over to get the vaccine.
  2. Got my first shot scheduled for Monday, getting Pfizer.
  3. My wife just sent me a link said anyone over 16 will be eligible starting Wednesday for the vaccine. Going to be spamming f5 to get a spot. Think the GPU bot people could make a script for that 😛

    Winter Anime 2021

Just binged 5-8 of AoT. I think I like saving up enough to watch for an hour and a half.

    Shopping for new laptop

If you have the money I would go with the graphics card option. It will give you more options for photoshop and games. But if you are just web browsing 99% of the time it probably isn't worth the $360.

Pretty much anything will work well for that light of a work load, especially if you are using onboard graphics now with photoshop. I got my wife a Dell XPS 13 a year ago or so and she does all of those things besides photoshop. It does light games like Gems of War. What size are you looking for?

    [21/01/10] Totally Weekly Gaming Thread

I bought Lego Worlds on the PS4 for the kids a few weeks ago. It is their first video game so they are slowly learning how to use the controller. They are 5 and 7 now. They aren't super interested yet, but it's an easy open world-ish type game they can just have fun and mess around in without having to worry about trying to "win".
  11. Yeah it should protect you against getting really sick which is one less thing to worry about. It will still be a while before we can start seeing people again because practically everyone will need it.
  12. My understanding is that it just protects from a severe infection but they haven't confirmed if you could still infect others.
  13. My wife was able to get her first vaccine shot today. She's an RN but works from home and still qualified for it right now. It's not going to change our behavior, but it is a little bit less of something to worry about.

    I made it 96+ hours

My wife has had some struggles with alcohol and she stopped drinking around February - March last year. I haven't had anything to drink since about then too because continuing to drink is really a dick move and doesn't help support her. I do miss having a cooking beer. I guess it isn't that bad since I didn't really drink that much to begin with. I don't judge anyone on their choice to drink. After not doing it for a while you can start to see how ingrained it is in our culture and that is kind of shocking.

    Merry Christmas 2020

Didn't know there was a non-stick version for the instapot, cool.
  17. I would guess to fix the GI bleed. Hope she recovers quickly.
  18. My wife's grandmother's brother passed away today. He had covid and was quite old, but i think that he had other issues as well. I've never met him so I can't say for sure. But that is the closest I've been to someone that died from covid.

  20. At least it's the actual teachers from the school teaching what they would have, probably in a different way. It's first grade so most of it is early learning to read and do math.
  21. My daughter's school was following the status of some measures the county is tracking for being able to have in person class. They had to go back to 100% distance learning like a week ago. So glad we had already committed to distance learning for the year so it didn't change anything for us.
