  1. Force of habit, I locked my computer before getting up to go to the bathroom...only once though 😛
  2. Started to get a scratchy throat over the weekend and work up this morning with a sore throat. Did a home test and I'm positive It just feels like a sore throat with a bit a drainage and stuffed up ears. So the vaccine and booster are working. Wife and kids tested negative. So I am isolated in the master bedroom and I set up my work laptop on the bathroom counter. There is a lower section between the two sinks without a cabinet, works surprisingly well with my computer chair 😛
  3. @Galeigh damn...Sorry again. My wife and I both got Pfizer initially and got boosters from Moderna over the last 2 days. My kids get their second shot tomorrow. So hopefully we can start doing some more normal things again.
  4. Still a kick in the nuts. Hope you all get better quickly.
  5. Shit Galeigh. I'm sorry and hope all your parents gets better soon.
  6. The damn governor passed a law that schools can't require masks. The school seams behind the curve on screening and actually knowing and doing anything about prevention besides some basics like cleaning, having kids spaced at lunch, and some timing things to keep groups away from each other. I also didn't much like the kindergarten teacher and my wife liked her even less. The 2nd grade teacher is going to be missed. My daughter is/was in the advanced class and that same group of students more or less will be together through 8th grade if they stay in there. My daughter missed out all last year being with them because that class didn't offer distance only. She finally got to see some of her classmates from kindergarten for 2 weeks.
  7. Had the kids in school for 2 weeks in person and my son already had a kid in the class with covid. We are pulling them out and doing online again. Not ideal for Kindergarten, but my 2nd grader should do just fine. Can we just have the damn vaccine for 6 years and up already???
  8. First day of in person school for my daughter since spring break a year and a half ago. My son starts kindergarten today also. Nervous about them 😕
  9. Got my boss to bring some OJ on his way into the office for us.
  10. I stopped drinking a year ago with my wife, but OJ sounds really good. Feeling pretty good today, just a bit tired.
  11. Feeling very tired and muscles are sore, I laid down for 2 hours and I'm a bit better.
  12. Arm is a little sore today and I feel like I didn't sleep the best, but good so far.
  13. Arizona's 7 day average was above 2000 cases from mid Nov. through the start of Feb. We are down to 370's right now though which is promising, but then again they just lifted the mask mandate...
  14. First shot of the Pfizer in. Process was super easy at CVS.
  15. My wife is done telling people "what they should do" if they want to be around us. It's not our job.
  16. Yesterday Arizona started allowing anyone 16 and over to get the vaccine.
  17. Got my first shot scheduled for Monday, getting Pfizer.
  18. My wife just sent me a link said anyone over 16 will be eligible starting Wednesday for the vaccine. Going to be spamming f5 to get a spot. Think the GPU bot people could make a script for that 😛
  19. Yeah it should protect you against getting really sick which is one less thing to worry about. It will still be a while before we can start seeing people again because practically everyone will need it.
  20. My understanding is that it just protects from a severe infection but they haven't confirmed if you could still infect others.
  21. My wife was able to get her first vaccine shot today. She's an RN but works from home and still qualified for it right now. It's not going to change our behavior, but it is a little bit less of something to worry about.
  22. I would guess to fix the GI bleed. Hope she recovers quickly.
